A week old today

I can't believe my baby is already a week! Where has the time gone? its seems like the week before he was here went by so slowly I thought it'd never get over with , and now time wont slow down.
He is doing wonderful. He's still eating great, and pooping like its his job; probably beacuse it is :)We went to the doctors a couple days ago, because his umbilical cord was smelling bad and I called his pediatrician and she said, to bring him in. Anyway, nothing is wrong with him and to inform you his cord fell off today :) but, he weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces. My little piggy pasted his birth weight!
I just can't describe how wonderful it is being a mother. Every little thing he does I think is just brilliant. He's my little prince charming who has come and rescued me from the tallest tower, haha. He smiles all the time now. I love it! Whenever I talk to him he smiles and it melts my heart.
His first Christmas is coming up. We're going to go over to theWoolsey's houseandmy Aunt Brenda's. I don't want him out for very long with all the colds going around. But, I want to show him off a little and let the family who hasn't seen him yet have a chance.
Well, we're off to sleep!

His first doctors appointment.

Well, today Teague, my mama and I all went to his first doctors appointment. He has coombs (which means that our blood mixed. My blood type is a negative and his is a positive) He's case isn't very serious, but sometimes it means that the baby has to have a full blood transfusion. Luckily for us he is doing amazing and it wasn't serious. It also leads to animia and can make babies have worse janduce. That's the main reason we went in.
He has gained back most of his weight, he's at 7lbs. 3oz. only 2oz. shy of his birth weight which is great, beacuse usually it takes about 2 weeks for them to gain it all back. So our baby is flourishing. I couldn't be more proud of my boy!
Also, last night while I was up with him, I discovered how much he loves his binki, its so cute to watch him suck on it, its as big as his head, ha ha.
Today when we were all up, grandma was holding him and I went over by where they were sitting and he followed my voice to look at me, it was the most adorable thing. I can't believe how fast he's growing and learning.

Once my cousin shows me how to be all niffty on this blog i'll add some pictures I took.

He Is Here!...

That's right! Teague Bradley Blanchfield came into the world on Tuesday, December 16th at 7:03 pm. He weighed 7lbs. 5 oz. and was 19.5 inches long.

I was induced Tuesday morning. At about 10:30 am they gave me the pitocin, I stayed strong without an epidural until I was dilated to a 3 1/2, and it was at 5:00 pm; then it was time for some pain control, I told them not to give me all of the epidural though. It took me a half an hour to go from a 3 1/2 to a complete 10, so fast! I pushed for an hour, then my little man was here. It was a great day, he was born on my dad's birthday that is why is middle name is bradley. His uncles (my little brother Jonah) middle name is also Bradley.

I got to go home yesterday, it's been nice to be home and adjust to having a baby. Having Teague here is the best Christmas present, I'm so glad he got to be here before christmas.
Grandma Shannon.

Grandpa Brad.
Grandma Lisa.
Grandpa Greg.

He was so alert after he was born, he would look all around.

The first thing he did was grab onto my finger and he wouldn't let go, I was instantly in love. It brought me to tears.
